Wellness® dog food has been approved by the Whole Dog Journal, and has also been included in many “Top 10” lists of dog food formulas. At time of publishing Wellness® offers a bewildering array of products, including 35 dry foods, 40 canned foods, and a variety of mixers and toppers. Wellness® is owned by Wellpet LLC (owned by the Berwind Corporation), a company that combined Eagle Pack, the former Wellness® and Old Mother Hubbard. Nature’s Variety® Dog Food Recall Expanded

Nature’s Variety® has expanded an earlier recall of the company’s Chicken Formula Raw Frozen Diets to include products with a “Best if Used By” date of 10/29/10 and 11/9/10. The original recall only affected those products with a best by date of 11/10/10. The affected products are being recalled due to contamination with Salmonella bacteria. The products affected by the expanded recall include Chicken Formula 0.75-lb Trial Sized Medallions UPC 769949601319, 3-lb Chicken Medallions UPC 769949601302, 6-lb Chicken Patties UPC 769949601203, and 2-lb Chicken Chubs UPC 769949601210.
