Stella & Chewy’s Recall

As of July 2, 2015, Stella and Chewy’s was ordered by the Maryland Department of Agriculture to issue a recall for Chewy’s Chicken Freeze-Dried Dinner Patties for Dogs in 15 oz. bags. This recall was issued because they detected Listeria monocytogenes in this product. The dog food in question came from Lot # 111-15. So far, no one has reported any illness by a dog or human as a result of this contamination. Kong® Aussie Sticks dog treats – Recall

JAKKS Pacific® quietly recalled its Kong® Aussie Sticks dog treats on September 25, 2014. Based out of Walnut, California, the company recalled the product because of possible mold contamination. Consumers can determine if they bought an possibly contaminated product by checking the item number and “best by” date on the packaging. Merrick® Pet Care, Inc. has issued a recall for its Jr. Texas Taffy pet treat, which were manufactured at its facility in Amarillo, Texas. Issued on January 28, 2011, the recall includes those products with item number 27077, UPC number 02280827077, and products that include lot number 10364 and below.
