Pro-Pet Vitamin Supplement Recall
United Pet Group, based out of Cincinnati, Ohio, has issued a recall on June 22, 2010, of unexpired lots of the companies Pro-Pet® Adult Daily Vitamin Supplement tablets for dogs. The products affected have an expiration date of “6/13” or before. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is also aware of the recall and have reported it on its website. Salmonella bacteria contamination was cited as the reason for the recall, as one of the lots of the product was found to be contaminated.
