Eukanuba® and Iams® Dog Food Recall
Multinational consumer goods company Procter & Gamble™ (P&G™) has expanded an earlier recall to include batches of its Iams® Veterinary and Eukanuba® dog food items on July 30, 2010. Salmonella contamination is cited as the reason for the recall. The affected products include Iams® Veterinary Dry Formulas — all dry sizes and varieties with “best by” dates between 7/1/10 and 12/1/11; Eukanuba® Naturally Wild and Pure dog foods — all dry sizes and varieties with a “Best By” date between 7/1/10 and 12/1/11; and Eukanuba® Custom Care Sensitive Skin dog food — all dry sizes with a “best by” date between 7/1/10 and 12/1/11.
