Recall Word Red Stamp Defective Product Fix Repair
As of September 30, 2015, Salix Animal Health, LLC of Deerfield, Florida announced their voluntary recall of one lot of Good N’ Fun Beefhide Chicken Sticks. This action was decided upon as a result of routine testing conducted by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Testing revealed the presence of Salmonella in one 2.8 ounce package of the product.

Here are the specific details of the affected product that has been recalled:

  • Lot # AO15010
  • Expiration Date of 3/2018
  • UPC Code 0 91093 82247 1

These Good N’ Fun treats were distributed nationwide, to Dollar General and Dollar Tree retail stores. Presently, there have not been any illnesses reported related to this recall.

About Salmonella

Salmonella not only can harm pets that consume it, humans can also contract it by handling the affected product. This is why it is so important to wash your hands after handling dog food and treats.

Symptoms of Salmonella poisoning include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. If you have the recalled product, you have the choice of disposing of it or returning it to where you purchased it for a full refund.
