Appearance

The Puggle is a cross-breed between a Pug and a Beagle that grows to be 8 to 15 inches tall. Puggles have a short, thick body and they are black, fawn or tan and have a black mask. They have a deeply wrinkled forehead, short legs, a curled tail and drooping ears. Puggles have short, easy to care for coats but they need to be brushed weekly as they shed quite a lot. Trim his nails every week or two, keep his ears clean and dry and brush his teeth frequently.

Personality

Puggles need daily exercise as they are active and energetic. However, they have a tendency to be stubborn and uncooperative. It is important to train them with positive reinforcement, like treats, praise and play. It may be hard to determine exactly what his personality will be like, as he is a mixture of 2 very different breeds. He may possibly be outgoing, friendly and affectionate. Puggles may get along with other dogs, but not as well with cats if his Beagle side takes over. They are good with children and seniors alike.
