Mars® Petcare US expanded its recall of Pedigree® Adult Complete Nutrition dry dog food products on August 31, 2014. The initial recall was issued because of foreign material mixed in with the dry dog food in 15-lb bags of the product.
The recall was expanded to include 55-lb bags of Pedigree® Adult Complete Nutrition dry dog food. The product in question was sold at Sam’s Clubs® in the states of Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. To determine if pet owners have bought any of the affected product, they can look on the back of the bag near the UPC code for lot code 432E1KKM03 and a “best by” date of 8/7/15. The recalled product was sold between August 14 and August 30, 2015.
Pet owners can return any of the recalled product to the retailer for an exchange or a full refund. They can visit www.pedigree.com/update or contact Mars® Petcare at 1-800-305-5206 for more information about the expanded recall.
Pet owners in the United States can file a report with the FDA about one of the products they regulate by calling their local consumer complaint coordinator. For pet owners in Canada, they can report any issues related to the use of this product by filling out a Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
